Mark Hamill
Mark Hamill 1951. szeptember 25-én született Concordban. Hat testvére van. Mivel édesapja, William Thomas Hamill a U.S. Navy parancsnoka volt, a család rengeteget költözött. Éltek Kaliforniában, Virginia államban, New Yorkban és Japánban is. A középiskola elvégzése után Los Angelesbe költözött, ahol színjátszást kezdett tanulni. Tanulmányai alatt olyan sorozatokban is feltűnt, mint a General Hospital (1972-1973), a The Texas Wheelers (1974-1975) vagy az Eight is Enough (1977-1978). Karrierjében az áttörést az 1977-es George Lucas film, a Star Wars IV. - Egy új remény jelentette, melynek köszönhetően egy csapásra világsztár lett a sorozatszínészből. A forgatás ideje alatt azonban súlyos autóbalesetet szenvedett, hét órán keresztül kellett műteni, de mivel orrcsonjta is eltörött, számos plasztikai beavatkozást is végre kellett hajtani az arcán. Mivel már csak egy nap volt hátra a forgatásból, Hammill arcát vastagon kisminkelték, hogy eltakarják sérüléseit. A színész alakította Luke Skywalkert a széria további két epizódjában is (A Birodalom visszavág – 1980, A Jedi visszatér – 1983). A Star Wars filmek után Mark Hamill megpróbált ugyan kitörni a skatulyából, és sorra jenetek meg új filmjei, azonban rajongói számára neve örökre egybeforrt a kultikus jediével. A filmszerepek mellett színházi munkákat is vállalt, a 80-as években a Broadwayen olyan nagysikerű előadásokban láthatta a közönség, mint az Amadeus vagy a The Elephant Man. Hamill szinkronszínészként számos animációs filmben közreműködött, a legendás Batman rajzfilmsorozatban ő kölcsönözte Joker hangját, de szerepet vállalt a Nickelodeon nagysikerű animációs filmsorozatában, az Avatar: Az utolsó léghajlítóban is. Joker hangjaként visszatért a Batman-képregények minden idők legsikeresebb videojátékos adaptációjában, a Batman: Arham Asylumban (2009) is. 1978. december 17-én feleségül vette Marilou Yorkot, akitől három gyermeke született.
